According to sources close to the Ministry of Development, it has been reported that the possibility of conducting a new railroad track under sea and land that covers the distance between Palma de Mallorca and the city. These works would be done once the works of the current AVE in Barcelona are finished.
The studies confirm the viability of the project, taking into account other similar projects carried out in recent years, as in the case of the English Channel that links Calais with Folkestone in Great Britain.
Anyway, if the high-speed train is taking longer than it should to arrive in Barcelona, we will see the decades that a project of this magnitude can take. We will be expectant.
